Application
2023 Application Calendar:
The application for the 2023 program year is now closed.
The program is geared towards non-graduating undergraduates. Women and members of underrepresented minorities are strongly encouraged to apply. Students accepted into the program must be eligible to work in the United States. International students are welcome to apply to the program, provided they have a visa that allows them to be paid to work in the United States.
After reviewing all applications, the selection committee will arrange interviews for selected applicants with a member of the committee. The interview is the final component of the application and ensures that the personality, goals, and interests of the applicant are compatible with those of the proposed mentors.
Completion of the application requires demographic information, SAT or ACT test scores, an outline of your prior research, volunteer, and other activities experience, answering questions about your future career aspirations, a copy of your transcripts, and at least 1 letter of recommendation. The UCSP endeavors to evaluate the entire student. Applications should be submitted via the link provided on the UCSP website. Letters of recommendation can be sent by email, postal mail, or courier. We are unable to accept letters of recommendation or transcripts emailed directly from applicants. We will accept emailed letters of recommendation provided they come directly from the recommender's email account. All letters of recommendation must be on official letterhead with a signature.
Transcripts may be sent to us electronically to:
UCSP@pennmedicine.upenn.edu and/or UCSPpenn@gmail.com
Or sent by mail to:
